I was going to write a wrap-up from our weekend at the Agenda Tradeshow, but then I snapped a photo of this carrot that was shaped like a pair of pants instead!

GOST
G-G-G-G-GOST!!
Our friends Dallas and Nick from The Spys came by to pick up some GOST denim.
Yesterday I posted about the tie-dye GOST shirts I made over the weekend with Drake. We had so much fun making the shirts that I just kept looking for other things to dye. I had a pair of white jeans that Nikki got me for like $10 at Forever 21 that I’ve been drawing on (off-and-on) with a Sharpie for the past few weeks.
My girlfriend has a teenage son, Drake (aka “Teenager” as in, “Teenager, take out the trash,” or “Teenager, pull up your pants!”). Drake was with us for a week over the holidays. The teenager got some dye for Christmas and some spare parts from AMALL to customize his Valo skates. Over the weekend we boiled up a pot of the blue dye so that Drake could dye his frames and buckles. After he was finished we still had a giant vat of blue dye so I suggested that we make tie-dye GOST shirts!
Happy New Year everyone! It was about a year ago at this time that we officially launched GOST. It is no secret that this past year has been historically shitty with unemployment skyrocketing and an economy still writhing around on the ground after getting kicked in the balls. Here at GOST we tend to embrace bad news and 2009 provided no shortage of fodder for our unique pathos. Despite the climate we are still here a year later and have been embraced by our customers in and around the streetwear community. Thanks to everyone who has supported GOST! We REALLY couldn’t have done it without you.
It only took us a year, but we will officially be showing GOST at our first tradeshow this weekend. Come out and see us at the Agenda Tradeshow this Friday and Saturday in Huntington Beach, CA. We are going to keep working to make GOST even bigger and better in 2010, even if we did pick a shitty time to try to start a new brand!
