Kris Troyer from Rochester, NY sent in these photos of the new tattoo he got on the back of his calf. We’ve seen a lot of tattoos of the Ghost and Knives Logo, but this is the first time we have seen anyone get a tattoo of our little cartoon ghost, Franky.

Kris used the image of Franky from our Spring 08 line on the “Outta Here” T-shirt graphic. Incidentally, that was Franky’s very first appearance in his modern form.

There was a graphic in Holiday 07, the season before “Outta Here” was released, called “Boo,” that featured a bunch of cartoon ghosts, but none were quite Franky. Franky is a cartoon character based on our Ghost and Knives logo. He is in essence the character form of our logo. In “Boo” this idea hadn’t quite been articulated yet. There are a few versions of the ghost from the Ghost and Knives logo in “Boo,” but they hadn’t really been given any personality yet, and all of the other ghosts in the graphic are just kind of generic cartoons unrelated to our “particular” ghost.
Ever since Franky first appeared in the “Outta Here” graphic, he has been featured prominently in all of our collections since.

Franky getting away with all of the cents in the “Money in a Bank” graphic from Fall 08.

And of course you will find Franky in our new Holiday 08 Season offering his usual words of encouragement, as in the “Hang in There” tee. “You can do it!”

And the crowd pleaser, “So Ill” featuring a sick Franky and his poor little sick, blinged out watch.
You can get all of the new Franky tees and all of your Franco gear at your favorite retailers right now! Always stay tuned to Franco Shade because you never know what kind of antics Franky will get into!
