Transformers!

Toys are such a scam.  It has long been noted that young kids often seem just as happy with the boxes and the wrapping paper that their gifts come in as the gifts themselves.  Many parents, myself included, have wondered, “why do I even spend money on new toys?”  Last Christmas my ex-wife demanded that no one give her one year old daughter new gifts and instead she just gave her a cardboard box.  And you know what?  She LOVED it!!

While I was in Texas my nephew, Noah, carried around scraps of toilet paper and paper towels everywhere with him.  He would crumple them up into balls and then un-crumple them while making Transformer sound effects with his mouth.

Sure, to you and me it may have just looked like scraps of used toilet paper transforming into balls of used toilet paper, but to Noah, with his imagination, they were Transformers!

Far be it from me to interfere with the wonderment of childhood and the miracle of a child’s imagination.

Guess what Uncle Arlo will be handing out next Christmas!

It’s good too see kiddos sing there imaginations!!! The kids here that I see are mini versions of adults… There’s no fun in that. I was the same way. Krates, boxes…When I was a youngster could be turned into anything I wanted!!! :)
And my dog well He trashes any toy you spend money on. Threw him an empty icing cup a while back. He’s still packing it around… :P

you would think maybe that kid could use some of his transformers to wipe his mouth off.

I used to do the same thing with my aluminum foil my sandwich came in for lunch. I feel like at one point there were Transformers that turned into rocks or something and I pretended they were them.

loved the boxes when i was young. if i could get my hands on a few they were better for making forts in the house then the ususal blankets and chairs. lol i remember filling my friends basement with cardboard box tunnels. it was great! … i had forgotten about that stuff. kids today need to watch less tv and use more imagination! wow i just sounded old on that last one. Keep up the goodness Gost!

My house is full of Noah’s paper transformers. But Noah is much cuter than those pictures.
