Field Trip to toddland!

img_1660

I wrote a post recently encouraging everyone to take a trip on over to toddland and yesterday G-MO, Michael and I did just that!

First we all met up at Quang Le’s studio in Costa Mesa.

That’s Quang modeling toddland’s new “Arlo” shirt, by the way.

Talk about an amazing workspace.  Quang has crazy art and gadgets all over his studio!

We all piled into the Quang-mobile and set off for toddland just down the road in Newport Beach.

The anticipation grew as we parked and made our way to the toddland HQ (High Quality!).

Once inside we were immediately swept away into toddland.  Walking in felt like walking into a giant, vintage, bearded hug.  Todd Masters (The “Todd” in toddland!) was sitting behind his desk in full “Todd” costume, replete with “missing hiker” beard and moustache, headband and cut off shorts (natch).  Notice the moustache shaped coat rack on the wall.  Amazing!

As Todd was showing us new toddland clothes off of the sample rack, I couldn’t help but notice his enormous calves!  They were massive and I just couldn’t stop looking at them.  I suppose a “no homo” would be apropos here, but DAMN!

Speaking of “no homo,” hidden beneath that schlumpy, thrift-store exterior was the well crafted body of an Adonis of Hasselhoffian proportions!

I said, “no homo” right?

We got Todd to change right in front of us under the pretense that we were giving him a GOST tank top as a gift, but as it turned out the gift was all ours!  Thank you, Jesus!

After we said our goodbyes to Todd, we walked across the street to Bear Flag which came highly recommended and ordered the “Social D” burritos which were in fact great!

img_1657

We finished our burritos and then packed up and headed off with our bellies stuffed and our hearts full of fond memories from our field trip to toddland.

If you ever get the chance to visit I recommend you go and remember, at toddland: NO SHIRT, NO SHOES…

Thanks toddland!
