My girlfriend, Nikki, and I went to Austin, Texas over the weekend. I’d long heard that Austin was the “self-proclaimed live music capital of the world,” and from the moment we stepped off the airplane Austin did everything it could to prove it. There was a guy with a guitar playing live music right next to the gate when we arrived and everywhere you turned there was another reference to or celebration of live music.
But it wasn’t until we arrived at our hotel that I was completely convinced that Austin was in fact the live music capital of the world.
I saw it in the fine print while we were waiting for the elevator. Apparently even in an emergency the party doesn’t stop!
