I just spent a week in Dallas teaching at my family’s skatepark, Eisenbergs Skatepark. The camp offers instruction from top pros in skateboarding, rollerblading and BMX. I’ve been going back to Dallas every year for the past thirteen years to offer instruction to young inline skaters. Each group gets to come up with their own name and this year my campers chose the name, “Rainbow Storm” to represent the fact that they were a mix of boys AND girls. Our group had the only girls in the camp (including my daughter LuLu!).

I spent the weekend in Texas. My family has a skatepark in Dallas called Eisenbergs Skatepark, and last weekend was our 13th Annual Hoedown competition.

My family has a skatepark in Texas, Eisenbergs Skatepark, and every year we host a giant competition for rollerbladers called the Hoedown. This year will be our THIRTEENTH year putting on the contest!

LuLu and I are staying with my mom for the week while we are in Texas. I am here, ostensibly, to provide inline instruction for my family’s skatepark. I began the week with only two (TWO??) inline campers in my group. Groups at camp are kind of like classes and the instructors (like me) are kind of like teachers. A typical group normally consists of about ten kids. Today one of my campers didn’t even show up (and they actually pay to come to this camp!), so I had a total of ONE camper to instruct today. ONE CAMPER!! And would you believe that by the end of instruction today, my one camper, my sole compatriot, my lone companion, my kemosabe broke his ankle?? WTF??

Today was the second day of instruction at Eisenbergs Skatepark Summer Camp. Check out those hot skates!

Hope everybody had a great Fourth of July Weekend!
After making G-MO and Michael come into work last Friday (some Holiday!), LuLu and I packed up and caught a plane to Dallas. I am originally from Dallas, but moved out to Southern California over fifteen years ago.

My family has a skatepark in Texas, where I am from, called Eisenbergs Skatepark. Every year we host a Summer Camp that offers instruction in rollerblading, skateboarding and BMX. I recently did a custom T-shirt for my friends at Woodward West that was very well received and so I wanted to make sure that I made something nice for my mom, who runs Eisenbergs Skatepark.

For this year’s camp T-shirt I made a special GOST x Eisenbergs collaboration that features Franky having a tough day on one of the ramps. These shirts will be available in mid-June and if you are not planning on attending camp you will be able to get them EXCLUSIVELY through eisenbergs.com.
